description=© ALPHA Simulations 2002\n\nBristol Bulldog IIA\n\nFirst flown in 1928, the Bulldog II beat all the competitors and became the new standard RAF fighter of the 1930's. 312 were supplied to the RAF and 131 were exported, mainly to Scandinavia and the Baltic Republics. The Bulldog was tremendously manouverable but suffered from a low top speed and tricky landing characteristics. Bulldogs remained in squadron service until 1938, when it was replaced by the Gladiator and Hurricane.\n\n \n
